The roles and responsibilities of the Social Emergency Manager/Emergency Management Coordinator is to identify, provide support, advocate the needs of First Nations communities that PFNF covers with the 5 pillars of emergency management and preparedness.

Training & Education

The PFNF Social Emergency Manager/Emergency Management Coordinator also provides training and education on the following: Wildfire/Structural Firefighting, Search and Rescue, First Aid, Mitigation, Prevention, Response, Recovery and Preparedness, but not limited to.

Upholding Social Fabric

The Social Emergency Manager/Emergency Management Coordinator also adheres to any potential chance that the communities social fabric maybe disturbed.
