Supporting Our Journey to Peace
Critical Incident Debriefing is a supportive, trauma-informed way for community members and staff to process difficult events. It provides a safe, culturally grounded space to talk through what happened, helping individuals find grounding and collective strength. Our approach honors Indigenous values and holistic healing, ensuring every person feels respected, heard, and emotionally safe as they begin to move forward together.
Before
We begin by preparing a safe, sacred space. This involves identifying those affected and ensuring the environment is culturally grounded, respectful, and ready for honest sharing.
A Path to Collective Healing
During
The session focuses on emotional sharing and collective support. Participants are encouraged to share their experiences in a circle where every voice is heard and valued.
After
Healing continues beyond the session. We provide follow-up resources and holistic care options to ensure everyone feels supported in their ongoing journey toward wellness.
When to Seek Support
Sudden Loss
The passing of a community member or colleague often impacts the collective spirit, requiring a safe space for shared grief.
Community Crisis
Events that threaten the safety or well-being of the whole community call for a holistic and unified response.
Workplace Incident
Unexpected accidents or emergencies in the workplace can leave staff feeling overwhelmed or distressed.
Strong Reactions
If you or your team show signs of emotional stress or trauma after any event, a debriefing offers professional, supportive care.
