The roles and responsibilities of the Social Emergency Manager/Emergency Management Coordinator is to identify, provide support, and advocate the needs of First Nations communities that PFNF covers with the five pillars of emergency management and preparedness.
Training and Education
The PFNF Social Emergency Manager/Emergency Management Coordinator provides training and education on several key areas, including but not limited to: Wildfire/Structural Firefighting, Search and Rescue, First Aid, Mitigation, Prevention, Response, Recovery, and Preparedness.
Community Stability
Furthermore, the Social Emergency Manager/Emergency Management Coordinator adheres to any potential chance that the communities' social fabric may be disturbed, ensuring continued support and protection for our members.
